I have thought and even have the recipe....however for the sake of time saving I thought the mix might be easier.... plus i remember that the dairyland product produced good soft ice cream
Thanks BTW....I checked Save on foods/Safeway/Costco with no luck and I don't think Superstore or IGA sells Dairyland
