did you try to reset you telus modem?

unplug it for 5mins as well as your dlink.

plug your telus modem in and wait for all lights to go on.. then plug in your dlink.

while your in your settings, disable the wireless functions of the telus modem...

as for assigning IPs... its difficult if you dont know what to do.. i would suggest getting a friend who knows more about it...
