I guess everyone who swapped their rims in Metro Van is getting their moneys worth tonight, but is it worth it? We all know the snow will be gone by the start of the week. All that money for a couple days of stress free driving.

It may only snow a few weeks a year in Vancouver, but temperatures hover near or below freezing for months and all season tires are not designed to operate in temperatures below 7 degrees. A couple hundred dollars a year amortized over the life of winter tires is a small price to pay for the added safety and security over the entire season, nevermind not having to take a gamble everytime you drive when it snows.
