Oh is there no way to change it within the BD's menu?? That's the only workaround for games/movies with the default audio set to DTS as far as I know.
Another thing to check for is under your PS3 Audio Settings -> Optical Digital ->
You'll need to have DD 5.1 enabled and defaulted.
