Not at all IMO. I'm a bit surprised he got hit with even 3 games, I thought maybe 1 game to send a message to other players. The hit did not look like an intentional head shot which is what they are trying to get out of the game. To me anyways, looks like an 'accidental' headshot because Ovi left his feet, and that unfortunately is the way he hits. Had he not left his feet, the play should have been deemed a clean hit even if the same contact was made to Michalek's head.
Irony is Michalek's hit on Hendricks later on in the game DID look like an intentional headshot, and went without any fines/suspension. Hendrick was completely facing the boards, Michalek had his elbow/forearm up to the back of his head and drove his head right into the glass on the hit.
That is the inconsistency in the calls, not that Ovie got 3 games when he should have got more (or less).
