Because I'm feeling nice.

Working as an expat generally means getting paid a salary plus extra to bring to you an equivalent point in that country. This is advantageous whether you go to a place with a higher CoL (cost of living) or a lower one. There's a huge range of packages offered that can include allowances for cars and apartments.

For example, let's say you get an expact package in the phillipines. A package might include things like:
- Your salary paid equivalent to what is in Canada
- A relocation bonus
- A paid apartment (or housing subsidy)
- A pair car

If you went somewhere with a higher cost of living, then you might get a CoL allowance to.

That's on the very generous side of things, but can happen if you're important enough.

Packages like these are rarer now, but still do happen. Your best bet is to find a multinational and go through that way. Unless you're exceptionally skilled, getting an expat package is going to be tough.
