not true. wikipedia has the muzzle velocity at ~800m/s so it would take ~.9sec to go 700m. with gravity pulling at 9.8m/s2 that bullet would drop a fair amount. just imagine dropping a marble from a 2 story building. bet it would hit the ground in less then a sec.
