Well saying it wouldn't require "any" was a bit of an overstatement but it would not require much. A couple inches maybe depending on conditions. Not at all like in the game where you have to aim many feet over a guys head at only 3-400m. That being said it still puts MW3 to shame where weapons shoot bullets at the speed of light.
CorneringArtist - I can tell you in reality that if you get hit by a 50cal anywhere in your centre of mass you are dead, it'll cut you in half. Most 50's have a muzzle velocity of about 850m/s but the weight of the bullet means it's carrying a lot more energy so your compensation is different versus a smaller caliber rifle, as is the rounds effect on target.
