or perhaps you like the OSX interface? if thats really the case, you can install OSX on a PC.

I will admit though they do look cool and sleek, thats what attracts the general consumer.

I don't have a Mac because I can't master the complexities of operating a PC. I don't have a Mac because I am inexplicably drawn to shiny things with white packaging and big logos. I don't have a Mac because I am brainwashed to think that only Apple products can work well.
I have a Mac because it simply works! I am a busy professional - time costs money. I don't deny that a Mac is more expensive for the same set of hardware as a generic PC, however, it is valuable to me to have a computer that never has driver issues, doesn't get viruses, doesn't slow due to an overinflated registry, and has exceptional warranty service. My Macbook Pro also has an exceptional screen, phenomenal battery life, and looks great - these are all worthwhile to me.
You appear to be in tech support and I wouldn't want to try and repair the hardware on a Mac either, but I haven't ever had to, and am confident that should I ever have a problem, I can walk in and out of an Apple store in short order with a replacement product.
Just because YOU can't justify a Mac, doesn't make those of us who can, idiots. It's the same reason that they have sold 100,000,000 iPhones worthwhile while you can get an Android phone that does many of the same features for less money - many of us simply value a one stop solution.
