Yes - and not because I'm just a raving moron who can only shop at the Apple store.

Even if you could find an identical laptop, which I haven't... Installing OSX on a PC defeats a good portion of the reason to have a Mac - the seamless integration of hardware and software. While I realize many PCs can run OSX, I believe one of the keys to the stability of the Macs is simply the small variety of hardware they have to write drivers for. When you start installing OSX on a set of hardware they haven't specifically developed for, you are getting a compromise at best.

I have only had to warranty one product ever but they were phenomenal to deal with, I can complain about absolutely anything, but there isn't much negative to say about my experience with Apple.
