If you're trying to kill a sniper in he has sights on you the red laser can temporarily mess him up long enough for you to kill him. Personally I don't like it too much because I think it gives away my position as a sniper just like a tactical light. Thanks for the suggestion I've been using 8 and 12 with the bipod to unlock the straightbolt and I was doing quite well with it. I'll continue to stick with it for now thanks
