How long has your bench been stuck?

Don't waste your time warming up for your PR and don't get obsessed with your PR. Most guys only go for PR's once or twice a month .. I know strength training has made you think differently about working out, but lifting 80% of your max for more reps every week will make your PR increase, plus you have less likelihood of dying doing that. Going to failure every workout is hard on the body.


Widegrip Pendelay rows on bench day and back day, kroc rows on back day/floor press on leg day is what worked for me. It took me over a year to bench 135 lol. My deadlift was stuck for the longest time, I backed off and started doing higher reps and not going to failure.

Btw dude, I don't think your eating enough to recover from 5x5 ... 5x5 strains your body .. start eating everything and anything in sight lol
