Sort of. The only trial an error would be getting the lens in the middle of the windscreen. You don't really need to check the footage since you can eyeball it as you install it. First try I lightly placed it in the position where i thought was the middle but it was a little off so i repositioned it. Had to give it a good tug to get it off even though I barely pressed it into the glass. The adjustment that need video review was the camera position based on swivel. So when I first took it out for a test run I moved the position up and down to see how it looked. Thought I set it too high but turned out it should have been higher to show less dash and more car like that sick Maserati Quattroporte.
