Clutch & Distributor Issues
I was wondering.....Would the distributor timing cause the clutch to slip? It's
possible the timing could still be incorrect, if I were to adjust it again would it
fix my clutch slipping problem?
My car was bogging for quite awhile and it took me forever to find what was
wrong with it. About less than a month of driving it the way it was I found
out it was my distributor timing and adjusted it. While I had the issue I
would sometimes have to rev to 3000 rpms in order for the clutch to engage.
Now that it is somewhat fixed I have been able to change gears at lower
rpms but I can still feel the clutch struggling to grab the plate. Does that
mean my clutch is fried or could I somehow fix it by adjusting the distributor
timing?
REALLY NEED HELP! DONT WANNA PAY FOR A NEW CLUTCH IF I DONT NEED
TOO!
