Haha no worries man. That strategy usually works for versus play but I find that if you pass it quickly to an open player when playing EASHL, you get more way more scoring changes. When I was playing D that one game, the moment I saw a guy up ice, I launched it. We scored some nice goals like that catching the other team off guard  My general rule of thumb is that if I see a guy up ice, I pass it to them as quickly as possible, this prevents a lot of offsides as I see many teams having one guy carrying the puck while the others rush the zone and 99.9 % of the time, the other guys go offside so often because they're impatient and can't wait for the puck carrier
