Here's a tip for defencemens:
When playing the front of the net and trying to take away that cross-crease pass, don't be using the poke-check nor block shot buttons. Instead, just stand there in front of your opponent and hold LT(L1) so that you player is always facing the puck. When the pass is made, your player should intercept it automatically and have immediate possession of the puck.
It's probably the highest % play to make.
Having good stats doesn't hurt either. 99 defensive awareness is a must have for dmen!
