meh if u commute to work or school everyday.. a handheld is probably better off than a smartphone.. i mean sure playing phones on iphone kills time... but i don't carry a cable with me everywhere i go and my iphone sux on battery as it is.. and playing games during the commute will just basically kills my phone.. i probably won't be using my vita as much when i'm at home or whatever.. but it'll have it's use when i'm on vacation with nothing to do or on the airplane. it's not like it's overpriced piece of junk @ $249 it basically have most the feature of a tablet except with a smaller screen but better spec.. like above poster said.. handheld will always have it's market.. i paid $0 for mine so i'm not complaining too much
