Coming back from the US I usually just go through the regular lanes (in Point roberts) as long as the line up isn't too long. I've been going to Blaine for the past three or four years. I normally find myself caught in the line up of Canadians heading home so sometimes, I'll take the NEXUS lane, make my verbal declaration and while there's a pile of cars behind me, the officer gives me grief for not having a form filled out.
It's happened twice but that's just really my fault.
