I'm not too sure if the Fit uses the chipped immobilizer key but if it does, they it immobilizer will need to be programmed to accept the new key. Any decent automotive locksmith will be able to program the key for you (but you'll need to bring ALL your keys to them) or Honda/Acura can do it as well. (when I did it, the charged 0.5 hrs labour)

they did cut a cheap blank first and it did work on my car

the flip key is just a blank that i just have to take the guts of my oem key and put it into the new one
