just tried it for a week or so now must say no start bar is a killer it's all the "metro" ui thingy which is cool but it looses the most common aspect of windows.
Somethings that I did like was, if you had iso you can mount and burn them with out 3rd party programs, the "up one folder" icon in explore is back, just some tiny things like that
overall its not bad quick and nice the apps are cool but its really based on a touch screen system rather then a mouse, I got a HP touchsmart desktop so it worked well for me and it also supports muti-touch. Sadly not start menu will take some time getting used to, the "launchpad" on osx is much easier and prettier then windows "Metro".
EDIT: why is the colours so boring and ugly? win 7 looked a lot better in terms of "aero" effect
