That being said, I honestly don't see any problems with this guy's work. I see solid, confident lines, good proportions, good gradients in shading in colour and b&g...
if you are into his comic book style of tattooing, I don't see why you wouldn't consider him... You guys are going to have to show me some bad examples in his portfolio, because I don't really see anything that stands out as bad, technically at least. Stylistically, that's totally a "to each their own" type of thing
It would totally depend on what he plans on getting

I didnt mean to come off bitchy or defensive as you say. I can be very blunt sometimes lol. Its just hard for me to believe someone who is in to tattooing probably as much as I am and knows what good work looks like would call it "decent"
for me decent is your average walk in street shop. Like I said I wouldn't get tattooed by his artist at RainCity but I still think hes a lot better than decent, his traditional style just doesn't do anything for me. Like this artist Rob's style probably doesn't do anything for him. Thats all I ment. Anyways I really like this guys Japanese work its kick ass. For the record I'm not some tattoo newbie either I have been obsessed with and steadily tattooed for 13 years now.
