in my experience, big difference. SSDs are way faster and are more reliable since there are no moving parts to worry about. Cost and space wise is another factor to consider. the biggest SSD on the market right now is 240gb and that would cost you an arm and a leg. So the question of "will it benefit you" depends on what your intentions are for the SSD. if your just into the hype then no. if you want to load your games, programs and OS really quick then its worth getting. I got an SSD strictly for my OS and programs to run real fast.
