To me grit bags just fall under the wheeled bag category; and those are like Pink shirts to me. I have nothing against people wearing it, but it's just that there's no escaping that there will always be some associations to femininity with it.
Goalies excluded of course; but it's usually because I see most goalies sling their pads over their shoulder instead.
