turns out there was another shooting in the early AM
Quote:
Police across the Lower Mainland were busy overnight with three targeted shootings – two that appear to have gang links and one domestic.
In Vancouver aboutg 2:45 a.m. a 20-year-old was shot near Commercial Drive and First Avenue as he was out walking for friends. The gunfire came from a vehicle and police say he was targeted. His injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.
“The vehicle fled and the man was rushed to hospital,” Const. Lindsey Houghton said in a release. “While there is no clear motive at this stage in the investigation, investigators believe the man was targeted. There have been no arrests and is currently no suspect information available.”
Anyone with information is asked to call 604-717-2541 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
And police were called to the Safeway parking lot in the 10300-block of King George Highway in Surrey about 9:40 p.m. Wednesday. An man was shot in in the abdomen. He is expected to survive. Above is a photo of the Surrey shooting scene.
The victim is known to police and witnesses say he ran into the Safeway to get help.
And in Mission, RCMP were called to another shooting in the 8000 block of Manson Street Wednesday night. Another man was shot and transported by air ambulance to hospital. The latest from Scan B.C. is that the suspect was located in the back yard of the house, dead from a gunshot wound to his head.
It appears this is a domestic-related shooting where an ex-boyfriend shot the current boyfriend, then killed himself.
If anyone knows anything or has photos in any of these shootings, could they email please: kbolan@vancouversun.com
