I get teary eyed, because I remember the disappointment from last season. I know it's stupid to get so invested in the team, but I just can't help it. It's probably like dating a girl for years only to find out she's cheating on you or something.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one. When the game had just over a minute left and the fans in the front were encouraging everyone else to give a standing ovation, I did tear up. It's been a long season and the Canucks had their struggles this year with a short summer for both recovery and training.
