OP you should go on a trip...I myself am not a fan of tours, but I know everyone who has gone on one has met a few people so my advice would to take a Contiki trip or GAP adventure trip or something like that. The other option (the one I would pick) is go backpacking alone or with a buddy and stay in some hostels in Europe.
will this really help you find a long term gf?....probably not....as demographically the odds that both of you reside in Vancouver are slim....but I think it will change your mindset in what you are looking for and will be very fun...
