Looking for opinions on whether the upgrade from the 50D to the 7D is worth the money.
Adorama is selling the 7D for $1199 (USD) which seems to be a great price. Trying to justify the upgrade. I've always wanted the option of video (so I've been looking at the 60D or the 7D) but the reviews I've read seem to indicate that video isn't that great. There's the better AF and metering and weather sealed.
I can't really say I've outgrown the 50D (I still have a lot I can learn with it) but it's tough to pass on a good deal.
(could probably sell the 50D for around $500ish and that means the net cost would be $700 for the upgrade). Has anyone gone down the same path and can comment whether the upgrade seemed like it was worth it to them?
My current lens lineup is mostly EF-S lenses (17-55, 10-22) and a single EF lens (70-200F4 IS) so I prefer not to have to go FF if someone is looking to suggest FF.
