Cons of using a Go-Pro for dash cam are:
1. sorta expensive for a HD cam with wide angle.
2. Does not
loop-record
3. No auto start on ignition option
4. There's no GPS or G-sensor feature in a $400~ spite having the largest accessory selection available on the market for a HD sports cam.
Yes it is used for motor sports on the track and such but for every day "No worries it's working in the background" automatic recording.
My cheap 808 dvr needs charging and manual operation everytime I jump in the car and 2 problems I have the most is battery life and no loop recording. I can't justify spending $200-$400 for HD without those auto features to put my mind as ease.
P.s post it up FS: camera/electronics section of the revscene Buy&Sell.
