Currently stuck at act 2 inferno on my wiz. I was running a piercing orb/disintegrate/blizzard build and burning thru mobs in act 1 but now I feel like act 2 mobs has too many gap closers I realize that disintegrate is a useless skill for solo. Even duoing with a monk buddy, the AI are smart enough to swap onto me, so I won't be using ANY channelling skills.

I've realized, with my current gear, which nets me 25k dps, 21k hp, and 5.5k armor with buffs, the only way to survive is a hit and run build.

Basically you spam blizzard for slow and hydra for dps, and sometimes use arcane orb (mass AOE burst) if you have can squeeze one in while kiting. You can't fire any arcane orbs if they enemy has a jump or is even a little bit fast, like the frogs in act 1 or the lakisi in act 2.

I actually dropped diamond skin in act 2 because it's pointless in inferno anywhere outside of hell. Most of the time, by the time you need it, you're dead with or with out it. Instead I swapped it out for tp with the illusion rune and illusionist rune. You get a free TP while kiting if you ever get hit. When you tp you create 2 illusions which kite with you and distract enemy, giving you a chance to spam arcane orb to finish them off asap.
