I hope he wins it and just retires on the high note, becoming arguably the best goalie in NHL history. He had a shaky regular season by his standards and was outplayed by Hedberg for stretches, but has been solid throughout the playoffs. I'd hate for him to come back next year and stink up the joint and then decide to retire.

Maybe Hasek is the HOF goalie that Yzerman was speaking of getting through UFA. If he brings back Roloson and Hasek, they're goalies will be 44yo average age

That, and Willie didn't sign for chump change (3.5M x 2 yrs) given the uncertainty with his injury. He was messed up pretty bad, gone for several months with ZERO updates on his condition/status. Canucks gave him an offer, nowhere near what LA gave though and rightfully so at the time.
