I got my new job through a craigslist ad, and my new ocean view apartment. I'd say its done pretty well for me in the last 2 months. If you actually read the ads and use some common sense most of the scams will be pretty obvious. Someone tried to scam me on the apartment situation, but I decided not to send money via wire transfer to get the keys in the mail from england.
What kind of job do YOU want? I'm sure you could find someone willing to apprentice you in a trade. Any constriction company with half a brain would hire a young able bodied ex military vet with hopes of advancement.
