The HDD isn't SSD fast, but it IS fast enough for basic things that don't require a boat ton of small files. Things like games and etc are fine on an HDD, since (hopefully) you aren't loading up crysis 2 every day, whereas you turn your computer on everyday, so the added speed helps a lot.
and also why not just go and get a 1tb revodrive
