I think Jah Dean means that a lot of the high end sports cars stand out because of their shape. But when you throw black paint over it, it hides all the angles and lines of the car. Prime examples are black Aston Martins. Half the time I don't even notice the black ones driving around. Just looks a random black coupe.
Still nice cars, but imo would look better with another color. I know there are many people out there who swear by black cars and black cars only. But hey, to each their own.
My personal favourites for high end sports cars are the dark greys.  More subtle and not so in-your-face, but still shows off the car's shape.

Exactly.
For example, the LP560 and F458 don't really stand out in black because black hides the angles and lines but paint them in white and both cars stand out.
