Thinkpad's are purely about feel. Super solid, very fast, great keyboard. You can spend hours using the matte screen. The Sony is the exact same thing but with the Sony you're paying a premium for great looks (Vaio Z Carbon) and higher end (but not necessarily any more durable) materials.
For me I would say it really comes down to budget. Got money? Buy the Vaio. Want quality and value, get the Thinkpad.
No experience with the other options so I won't comment.
