I guess I am not a mucker.. but I never had issues with the toe on my blades chipping... I can see how D men will have that issue though. I stopped going through sticks once I stopped going to stick and pucks, where I would spend hours just taking slap shots.. Once I started to only play pickup, Sticks would last me a good season.
BASE sticks are very good and are very durable. You really can't beat the price for what you get.
