That said, it's too bad that they charge so much for a fitting session. What interests me are their 2-piece blades. They have some curves that I want to try, but for $60 it's a pretty steep price just to try them.

I've gone to base to try out different blades, they'll let you as long as the mini-rink isn't being used. If you go during the early afternoon when school is still in session its usually not busy. Some of the guys there will actually give you tips and their opinion for free.
