Add to the fact that the FR-S is factory tuned to be a little on the tail happy side, and I am hardly surprised by the outcome at all. But once again, incidents/accidents like this are precisely the reason why I always encourage people to come try their hands at the autox so that they can learn the behaviour of their cars in a safe and controlled environment.
If/When more of these incidents start happening, I think there is a good chance Toyota/Subaru would start considering the BRZ's tamer suspension components for the FR-S. After all, that's what Honda did with the AP2 when people started realizing the AP1's snap understeering problem, and the change would be much easier for Toyota/Subaru. They might not even announce anything and just chalk it up as the year-to-year running changes/updates.
