I have a friend that's a welder, another that's a plumber. They make HUGE money on side work, usually even more than their day job wages. They both make anywhere from an extra $500 to $2000+ a week on top of their day job salary.
Side work for an accountant may not be as readily available, but if you pick up simple book keeping for a small business, that minimal amount of work can pay for a tank of gas every month.
And who knows, if you develop enough of a client base, you could even start your own business down the road
