Shimano A530 is probably the best hybrid clipless pedal available. You can probably swap the stock pedals and get a good deal on the 530's when you buy your bike. Thanks for the help. I was debating between buying from Different Bikes or Cap's Westwood Cycle but opted for DB because they offer lifetime basic tune ups and discounts if you buy a bike through them. It's also closer to me and they were willing to answer emails unlike Cap's. The bike was a bit more expensive but they price matched it with no issues.
I ended up getting the '12 Giant Defy 1 with PD-A530 pedals. It was my first time on a road bike and man this thing is fast compared to mountain bikes. Too bad it rained today because I was really looking forward to ride it at around 5pm.
