Definitely try depilling with a razor blade. It took me almost an hour to do my Sisley cardigan, but it was so worth it. The cardigan looks brand new after I gave it a good shave lol. Just use any disposable shaving razor (I prefer single bladed in case I rip the fabric by accident) and lightly shave off the pilling spots.
