It doesn't mean no figure skating; it means you sacrifice speed for agility and vice versa. Also, attributes played a bigger factor in the new skating engine than before (although that may be tweaked before launch). I'm not sure how it'll play out in EASHL, but it definitely plays and feels different compared to NHL 12. It took most of us 3-5 games before we really got the hang of the new skating engine.

Not sure on the boardplay thing. None of us (Community Day attendees) were cheesers ... They should've invited some Qc players The devs were pretty adamant about removing cheesy tactics.
