I worked at Hollister for 6 months, almost 2 years ago now.
Everything about the store, including the interview, is laid back. Don't stress about it. It's a super easy interview. It's a huge group interview, and they usually take you all out in to the food court and then the manager, or asst manager (Colin was the one who did the interview before, he's a cool guy- store manager now of Vancouver), just asks questions, mainly to see how FRIENDLY and OUTGOING you are. If you are shy and quiet the whole time and don't pipe up and answer the questions, you are less likely to get noticed and probably won't get a call back. I was hired on the spot because I was one of the first ones to answer nearly all the questions. Also helps I was sitting right next to Colin. The more talking you do PRIOR to the interview with the person interviewing you (if the opportunity is there), and the more talking you do in general, the far more likely you are of getting hired. They want super energetic, fun, outgoing people working there.
If you want to stand out, then do just that. Stand out, and prove that you are hollister team material. It's a great place to work, and is the most fun job I have ever had. I still miss working there, and if I didn't live so far away now, I would still work there.
