1. Overall, great value. For $1200, I can't complain. JensonUSA.com shipped me the last 52cm but upon receipt of the bike, there were some scratches either due to shipping (unlikely) or a manufacturer's defect. I called their customer service and told them I would have appreciated notification of this prior to shipping so to make up for it, they refunded me $100 onto my credit card and gave me a $100 gift certificate!
2. The bike was put together poorly, probably by an entry level mechanic but no big deal. My co-worker tore it apart and rebuilt it from scratch. Too many components were over-tightened if anything. Not a good thing, IMO.
3. For those of you who own a Cannondale - I love BB30! This frame is pretty darn stiff and offers a lot of nice feedback on the road. The frame compliments the BB30 concept and lets me do my sprints and attacks on flats and up hills in a cinch.
4. Nice, comfy ride. Bumps on the road?
5. Some things that would have been nice - better wheels and more carbon parts. The wheelset is a Shimano RS10. Your typical entry level wheel but these are damn heavy paired with the Michelin Dynamic tires. The seat post is aluminum whereas most bikes in this price range offer a carbon or light weight alloy post. The handle bars are pretty darn heavy and I have to buy a 44cm carbon bar to make up for the weight. Last but not least, the stock saddle weighs in at a 305g. Overall, for a stock bike with an Ultegra gruppo - a pretty heavy bike.
6. Oh, and finally - not that this matters: The frame is made in China by a Chinese company known for manufacturing a lot of bikes. I was under the impression it was made by Kinesis but sadly, only the Podium 5, 6, and 7 are. Not that this is a bad thing because the overall quality of the frame and welds are pretty darn good. Bottom line - anything that comes out of China has that bad stigma but again, for the price - you can't complain. Overall, pretty happy with the bike!
