depending on how far the wires need to go..
my nephew has no problem with the Cisco USB... he plays D3, BF3 on it...
he could also upgrade the antenna on the router/modem to boost the signal... they are usualy about $20 anyways..
but spending $120+ without taxes on powerlines (prolly cheaper if you pricematch or something), its a chunk of change that could be better spent on other things... maybe look on CL or something..
