Oh, anyone trying to do astrophotogoraphy with a Nikon camera may be at a disadvantage. Nikon cameras tend to "add" stars via noise in long exposures. Even the D800 has this problem - not sure about the D800E, as I haven't tried it yet.
What about Long Exposure NR?
