I respectfully disagree. I don't think there is a need to figure this all out, not for now at least. If they are happy doing what they are doing, that's great. And as things develop or fade away they will start to develop more of a sense of their orientation. For now I would say they don't need to figure it all out immediately, rather than just go with the flow
