I'm not quite sure what bizzaro world some of you guys live where you think that with enough confidence you can get any girl you like. People need to be realistic and date within their league. Do not affect the balance of the universe, please.

Btw to OP, it's a bad idea asking out your best friend's friend. Unless she has given any indication she is attracted to you romantically through her body language you are going to make things awkward between the 3 of you. Sure there are some that say fuck it, who cares. But those are the ones who usually don't have endearing relationships because they upset social conventions. You'll fall from the friend ladder into the abyss. The only thing that matters is whether she is interested in you before you ask her out. Women are pretty transparent about who they like.
