If you're up for a Japanese series I recommend Hana Yori Dango or Love Shuffle (more comedy though).
Hmm... movie-wise... Closed Note, Kimi ni Todoke (I think anime version would be better)... I think I do more series, Not sure if you want to tread into anime series, so I'll leave it at that for now.
