The ignition lock cylinder might need to be replaced then, you're right.

I'm not sure if I'm allowed to link other forums, but if you google "6th gen accord ignition switch" there's a hit on a popular honda tech site with a very good DIY.

Hope that saves you a bit of money. Unfortunately if you need the part right away you're going to have to bend over for the dealership
