The bigger picture isn't about Diamond Parking Enforcement but rather the fact that McDonalds allows or hires their services and penalizes their own customers for coming to their restaurant.
If I were you, I wouldn't even discuss this with Diamond anymore and deal strictly with McDonalds. Although this is an assumption on my part, but I doubt that Diamond is there through a third-party. The management of McDonalds is probably the one who asked Diamond to enforce this or the property manager which either way ties back into McDonalds.
Pretty sad that honest, loyal McDonalds customers are being bite in the ass because of petty business ethics.
